If I ever asked her any questions about protocol or any vendors before the wedding she always got back to me within a day, and usually within the hour. I was planning mostly from out of town and it really helped having someone in the DC area to help. Words just cannot express how awesome the ladies of Events in the City are! Laura Ritchie helped me coordinate and design my reception…her eye for design and detail is impeccable! The colors and textures that she put together were simply amazing! Her partner, Megan Pollard helped coordinate the ceremony and she was great — her calm and easygoing demeanor helped put all my bridal attendants at ease and everything went perfectly on the day of. No complaints whatsoever! This team of wedding planners are professional, organized, and oh so creative!

Overall, I thought that Megan was great. We hired her after we picked our venue and I was starting to research caterers. My husband and I both work full-time and the process of finding caterers, getting quotes for what we wanted, and arranging for tastings was overwhelming so that’s when we decided to hire a planner. When we met with Megan we both just felt that she saw our vision of what we both wanted on our wedding day and had some great design ideas.
